Biography

Reuben Davis is a veteran trial lawyer whose practice focuses on litigation of complex business cases to include employment litigation and products liability. He has tried cases, arbitrations and administrative proceedings in state and federal courts in Oklahoma.  Over the years this has included oil and gas matters, intellectual property, products liability, environmental, securities fraud, personal injury and other general litigation issues.

His achievements as a trial lawyer have earned him inclusion in The Best Lawyers in America and Oklahoma Super Lawyers and induction into the Society of Outstanding Lawyers of America.  He has also been inducted as a Fellow in the Litigation Counsel of America.

Over the course of his distinguished career, Reuben has been appointed as a temporary judge of the Oklahoma Court of Appeals and has served on various appointed committees and panels for the Oklahoma Bar Association and Tulsa County Bar Association.  Locally, he has held several offices with the Tulsa County Bar Association, including serving as president for the years 1988 and 1989 and as chairman of the Professional Responsibility Committee. He has also served on the Oklahoma Bar Association’s Ethics Committee.

Prior to embarking on his legal career, Reuben attended Westminster College in Fulton, Missouri, where he was a distinguished military graduate.  He accepted a regular U.S. Army commission upon graduation and later attended the artillery officer’s basic course, airborne and ranger schools, and special weapons schools.  Reuben rose to the rank of captain serving in Germany as a unit commander and intelligence officer and in Vietnam as a battery commander and brigade liaison officer with the 101st Airborne Division.  He later taught Tactics at Fort Sill before going on to earn his Juris Doctor from the University of Oklahoma in 1972.  While in law school, he served as managing editor of the Oklahoma Law Review and was named to the Order of the Coif.

Active in the community, Reuben is a deputy sheriff with the Tulsa County Sheriff’s Office and serves as an operator on the agency’s Special Weapons and Tactics Team.  He also serves on numerous local boards and foundations and is actively involved with the Boy Scouts of America.  He currently serves as a senior vice president of the Indian Nations Council of Boy Scouts of America; member of the board of directors of the Southern Region, Boy Scouts of America; member of the board of birectors (Ranch Committee) of Philmont Scout Ranch; and member of the Nation Council of the Boy Scouts of America.  He is an Eagle Scout, as are his two sons, and has previously served as a Scout Master.
